I baked this cake for my husband to bring to his Club Rainbow’s this year group gathering @ east cost . the cake is so soft and the chocolate creamy make the sacher taste even yummy .
Recipe :
1 cup plain Flour ¼ cup cocoa powder 1 cup caster sugar 100 unsalted Butter 2 tbs strawberry jam 4 eggs – separately 2 tbs strawberry jam extra – melted
Ganache Topping : 150 gr dark chocolate – shopped ¼ cup cream
Preparations: Sift Flour and cocoa into a large mixing bowl make well in the centre .combine sugar .butter and jam in a small pan, stir over low heat until butter has melted and sugar have dissolved ; remove from heat. Add butter mixture to dry ingredients. Using a whisk , stir until just combined; add egg yolk , mix well. Beat egg white separately in small bowl using electric beaters until soft peak form. Using metal spoon , gently fold the egg white into the cake mixture. Bake for 50 minutes or until the skewer comes out clean when inserted in the centre of cake.leave the cake in thetin for 15 minute before turning to wire rack.
Ganache Topping : Combine chocolate and cream in a small pan . Stir over low heat until chocolate has melted and the mixture is smooth . remove and cooled.
Pour ganache topping completely over cake smooth top and side using flat bladed knife. Decorate as desired. I’m putting Fresh Strawberry the word enjoy from green chocolate chips here with hopping that they would enjoy my Sacher Torte !
